"MS can take a hike for all I'm concerned"

January 22, 2011

Welcome to my blog!!!

Hello!  My name is Sarah, I'm 28 years old and I live in Vancouver, British Columbia!

The last two years have been filled with hospitals, emergency rooms, MRIs, neurologist visits, and crazy medications.  I think I'm dealing with it pretty well when everything is considered!

While researching MS online, I attempted to find some blogs by people my age who were in a similar situation and was unable to locate anything of real relevance.  I couldn't relate to the authors, and decided that this would be a great opportunity to make something good out of a really crappy situation.

This is my first blog, so bear with me!  I intend to fill this with my experiences, funny things that make me smile, news and information on Multiple Sclerosis.  The last thing I want is a depressing journal, so I will try to keep it light hearted.  It certainly will be about more than just MS.  I will try to update as often as possible.

Thanks for taking the time to check this out!

~Sarah

  1. I just read your story about optic neuritis and you described it very well. It was one of my early symptoms of M.S., too.

Arming yourself with good information about the disease is the best advice given to me. Stay positive and avoid complainers or complaining yourself. You can't afford to be negative because M.S. won't be going away anytime soon. Maybe CCSVI will turn out to be a viable cure for some sufferers. M.S. affects everybody a little differently is my experience.

Keep up with your excellent and inform, ative blog.

RL - SPMS - LOL - we all need to say where we are with the disease to give a picture of ourselves.

  2. Hi Jack! Thanks for the comment. Avoiding complaining might be hard, but that's why I have this blog outlet ;)

Currently I am diagnosed with Relapsing Remitting, and let's hope it stays that way! Hope you're doing well, and thanks for reading my blog!

  3. Hi Sarah! OK so I thought it was probably best to start at the beginning :) My diagnosis in January is also relapsing-remitting. I think it's quite difficult to always stay upbeat- it's what I'm trying to do, but I agree, it's hard to find blogs you relate to. I'm 28 as well, so I kind of know what you mean.... Anyhow, take care and hope you're posting again soon!
